Reaching internal and external audiences through mobile messaging: How it can personalize people’s experiences, and where opportunities are for improvement

Whether it’s consumers or employees, it’s more challenging than ever to capture their attention. Email is oversaturated, and it’s difficult to persuade folks to acquire and use mobile apps.

One way to break through the clutter is mobile messaging. It can deliver the personalized experience shoppers demand, especially Millennials and Generation Z. Retailers and e-commerce companies in particular are dreaming up amazing ways to give customers experiences that keep them coming back.

But despite the talent wars plaguing most industries, companies are not investing nearly as much in messaging technology that can help keep employees engaged. The good news is that this creates an opportunity for out-of-the-box thinking to address what’s lacking.

Abhi Vyas, who heads up marketing, digital personalization and analytics at Verizon Wireless, will talk at our May 14 lunch about some of the most creative ways through which businesses have personalized mobile messaging. He will also look at areas where they can improve.

    Key takeaways:

    • Using notifications to reach folks outside their cluttered inboxes.
    • How mobile messaging fits into the changing ways through which people interact with technology.
    • How to use mobile messaging to engage internal teams.
    • Why it’s important to connect physical and digital worlds.
    • Examples of how leading retail and e-commerce brands engage shoppers through mobile messaging.
    • How to kick-start mobile messaging, both internally and externally.
