    Black Lives Matter has brought corporate diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to the forefront of your leadership team’s attention. But you can’t just talk the talk, it’s time to walk the walk. How should your company address education? What other steps should your organization be taking?     About our panelists:
    DJ Poizon Ivy,
    born Ivy Awino in Nairobi, Kenya and raised in Dallas, Texas, is Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility for the Dallas Mavericks. In this role, she is tasked to work on Mavs Take ACTION – the Dallas Mavericks’ plan to listen, learn and unite DFW communities to address racial inequities and disparities, promote social justice, and drive sustainable change. Poizon Ivy was the Mavericks’ first female team DJ, and she became the first female to DJ an NBA-All Star Game. Forbes Magazine named Ivy among the 2019 30 under 30 in Sports in December 2019. She also works to enable youths pursuing careers in the arts and sports through her non-profit, GEM-IN-I.

    Brandi Briggs is Director of Social Media at AT&T and oversees social media engagement, crisis communication and brand reputation across 25 key platforms. She also leads content strategy and execution for the AT&T News Twitter handle – the company's source for media communications. Brandi is most proud of her work leading AT&T’s "Amplifying Black Voices" social campaign following the death of George Floyd. In the past two years, Brandi has been featured in PR Week and her team has been recognized with awards from PR Daily and The Social Shake Up.

    Halima K. McWilliams, PHR, SHRM-CP, CDP, is currently the People Operations and Culture Leader with Corgan, an architecture and design firm in downtown Dallas. She leverages her knowledge and expertise from over 24 years of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as well as strategic HR to aid organizations in crafting customized, practical and realistic solutions that work. Halima is a nationally certified HR & Diversity practitioner and has worked in leadership roles in multiple Fortune 500 organizations.

    Tynagia Polk is the Sr. Manager of Diversity & Inclusion within Health Care Service Corporation’s Center for Diversity & Inclusion. She leads the internal consulting services and collaboration with Talent Acquisition on diverse workforce sourcing strategies and engages business stakeholders and HR business partners on best practices for growing, building and retaining talent. Tynagia oversees diversity and inclusion communications, including social media. She is also responsible for the company’s diversity and inclusion awards and recognition, employer branding, and strategic partnerships in diverse communities.
