“Paint by Numbers: The art and science of using research to develop customer insights”

David Slatter, President at ExperiPro, will share his insight and best practices for leveraging all forms of research to learn from your existing and potential customers.  At the heart of every marketing, social media, and public relations campaign should be an intimate knowledge of the target audience. Not just who they are, but also an understanding of their needs, what motivates them to select one product over another, and how our products and services are actually used or consumed. Technology has allowed us to collect massive amounts of data, but the real the challenge is turning data into meaningful and actionable insights. David is going to share some direction on how companies can use research to craft those customer insights to paint a clearer picture, and ultimately maximize the ROI on marketing investments.


David Slatter
David is President of ExperiPro, a marketing insights and brand strategy firm based in Dallas, where he leverages his 30+ year career in a variety of senior management positions in Europe and the US in strategic marketing, communications and market research to help companies solve their most complex business challenges. He excels at creating market and customer penetration programs that leverage his knowledge of the customer decision making process to craft compelling value propositions and powerful go-to-market strategies.

As a Global Market Research Manager for Texas Instruments, David was responsible for all aspects of primary research in Europe, Asia and U.S. markets. Since leaving TI he has worked with dozens of business leaders developing qualitative and quantitative research studies including- customer loyalty, market/industry tracking, media evaluation, ad/creative concept testing, market segmentation, and branding/perception studies. He is also a product marketing expert, having successfully launched hundreds of new products. For relaxation,  David finds the time to paint, and to build Steampunk creations from vintage technology.
