Calling All Volunteers: WE WANT YOU!

Are you looking for ways to enhance your personal and professional growth, broaden your networking opportunities, or maximize your community involvement? We have the perfect solution – IABC Dallas has a host of fun and enriching professional development opportunities that vary by area, time commitment and duration. We make it easy for you to find an opportunity that matches your interests and availability!

If you want to get involved in our chapter and help contribute your skills (or learn new ones!), these are the types of opportunities available.

 

Sponsorships: Want to enhance your networking skills? If you are looking to meet new contacts at companies around the metroplex, we have volunteer opportunities that help build relationships while also support the chapter.

  • Director, Happy Hour Sponsorships (3-4 hours per month)
  • Director, Lunch Sponsorships (3-4 hours per month)

Professional Development: The professional development team works with a VP to organize 8-10 professional development programs each year. Do you enjoy brainstorming trends and topic areas, or perhaps you enjoy event planning and day-of coordination? We have two positions available to help us execute great programming:

  • Director, Speaker Coordination (5-8 hours per month)
  • Director, Venue & Logistics of Programs (3-6 hours per month)

Communication: Help us spread the word! The Communication Team helps to assist the VP Communications with promoting, reporting and designing content on chapter activities.

  • Director, Newsletter Editor (10 hours per quarter)
  • Director, Website Manager (4-6 hours per month)
  • Social Media Support Roles (time commitment varies)

Volunteer Management: Want to inspire others? The Heroes program isn’t possible without having some volunteer help of its own! Join a team that helps recruit, retain and recognize the Heroes within our IABC Dallas community.

  • Director, Volunteer Recruitment (8-10 hours per month)
  • Director, Volunteer Recognition (5-6 hours per month)

 We also have volunteer opportunities in these other areas that are more periodic:

  • Chapter Photographer: We are seeking a professional photographer (or someone with photography skills or aspirations) to attend majority of chapter events (registration fees will be waived) to capture pictures for use in marketing materials (mostly online). Estimated time commitment: 4-5 hours per month.
  • Judges Circle: Throughout the year, we help judge award entries for other chapters who are celebrating accomplishments and talents of their members. Judging is through an online system and each entry takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete. You have a preference of how many entries and what area you’d like to judge. It’s a small commitment that goes a long way!
  • Special Projects: If you’re looking to help with a short-term project, there are periodic events like happy hours and workshops that you can assist with.
